Crystal Clear

The second day mom and I paid a visit to Progressive Lighting in search of new lighting for mom's bathroom. When you walk into the showroom the first thing that you see is this amazing and HUGE chandelier. Now understand that I love crystal chandeliers so out came my camera (and a drool cloth:).
This chandelier is bigger than my dining room table!
Uh oh, crystal chandelier overload!

Just when you thought you were safely through the chandelier emporium another room full of gorgeous chandeliers awaits!
How about this incredible fixture with sepia colored crystals (also bigger than the dining room table)!
Maybe dark green crystals suit your style.
Then again, how about just pure BLING!
Empire style-lovely!
This one is just dripping with crystals!
Maybe something a little more subtle.
Of course, you need a beautiful ceiling medallion to finish off the look:)
Needless to say my neck was killing me once I left after having looked up for so long! One thing is for sure, if I am ever in the market for a crystal chandelier I know where to go!
Thanks for joining me! Come back tomorrow for some more fun:)

Spring Break!

Sorry that I have been scarce this past week but I was on spring break in Atlanta visiting family. It was a wonderful trip and of course, I am going to share it with my blogging buddies! Once I arrived and settled in we were off to do a little shopping. My very favorite place to go is Antiques in Old Town (http://antiquesinoldtown.blogspot.com)

Rowann and Hugh are two of the sweetest people and their antique shop is filled with treasures! This is just a little sneak peek of the first booth. If you would like to see more please visit their blogspot-it's well worth the visit:)
Of course, after a little shopping one needs some nourishment and the Blue Rooster is the best place to go!

The restaurant is filled with roosters and smiling faces.
Yum, it smells good in here! They make the best spiced chai! The difficulty is deciding what to have with the chai:)
Hmmm, let's see...a case full of homemade cakes and pies. Let's take a closer look.
Maybe we should look at the cookie and pastry counter before looking at the cakes.
Nope, I think we should go back to the cakes. Chocolate cake with cherries perhaps?
Or maybe lemon cake or cream pie (don't you wish you could lick the screen and taste each one)?
Then again this frosted cake looks pretty good.
Wait, I think I saw some chocolate drizzled macaroons in the other case.
Then again, maybe we should eat lunch first.
Naw!

Well this was day one. We'll visit some other places tomorrow:) I think I need to take a nap after all that food!

Sunday Wisdom

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Hebrews 13:5, NIV

Favorite Places

I suppose since I shared Kramer's favorite places I should also share the favorite spots for the dogs:)
Calvin on the sofa,
Calvin on the sofa cushion,
Kasey on daddy's lap,
sofa again (notice Kasey camoflouged on the sofa cushion behind them),
sofa,
Lizzy and Kasey vying for daddy's lap,
Calvin on the velvet chair,
Kasey under the kitchen table waiting for crumbs to fall,
Lizzy under the kitchen table waiting for crumbs to fall,
sofa again,
sofa again (are you starting to notice a pattern?),
Kasey on the window seat (it's a stool for her to lay on so she can look out the window),
Lizzy on the chair cushion,
Lizzy, Kasey, and Calvin on daddy's lap,
Lizzy on the window seat,
Lizzy at the kitchen table,
Kasey between cushions (sometimes she just needs quiet),
Lizzy on daddy's chest,
Lizzy on the bed in the spare bedroom,
Calvin on the sofa cushion,
Lizzy on the chair cushion,
Calvin on the sofa cushion,

and Kasey on the sofa cushion.

Well it seems like the favorite spot for the dogs is the sofa cushions. I guess you could say that our house has gone to the 'couch potato' dogs:)

Kramer Chronicles-Favorite Places

Kramer has several favorite places throughout the house. Here are just a few:)
The bed in the master bedroom,
anywhere on the dining room table (the old one at least:),
living room window sill,
sofa cushions,
library window sill,
inside the briefcase,
the bathroom on a stool,
bed in the spare bedroom,
or on the dining room buffet.

I guess you could say that the whole house is a paradise of favorite places for Kramer:) In reality, his favorite place to relax is the place he is relaxing at that moment.

Does your cat or dog have a favorite place in the house?
