Jane Austen at Seabrook Island

Hello my dear blogland buddies! It is good to be back after something of a long absence. I will get into the reasons behind my absence in a future post but for now I want to share some of the events that have taken place over the past few weeks:).
Last Saturday I was honored to perform as Jane Austen for the JASNA-SC group at Seabrook Island.
A luncheon was served commemorating the 15th anniversary of the group.
Upon arriving at the clubhouse a beautiful beach front view beneath sunny skies greeted us.
We ascended the grand staircase in style.
Here I am as Jane Austen just before the performance.
My dear friend Christine made the dress:).
After a delicious lunch of grilled salmon with chocolate pecan pie for dessert I began my portrayal of Jane Austen.
Many of the ladies were dressed in Regency period attire.
Robin, me, and Libby on the staircase.
Jane Austen wrote often of the beach so it was only proper that I should be photographed with the beach in the background:).
Libby in profile as a lovely Regency lady.
A famous Jane Austen pose.
Jane Austen enjoying the ocean breezes.
Robin and Libby join in on the beauty of the day.
To top off a lovely day of friendship and talk of Jane, I won the door prize!!! The basket was filled with goodies like a bookbag from the recent Jane Austen anuual meeting in Philadelphia, a Regency style headdress, Jane Austen magazines, and a beautiful book on Wedgewood china. It was a blessed day!
I plan on visiting all of my blogland buddies throughout the week and catch up on all of your wonderful posts. I have missed you all greatly and will explain my recent absenteeism from blogland further on Monday's post. Until then all I will say regarding my absence is that it was 'a conspiracy':).
Come back Monday to find out more!

Kramer Chronicles-Did You Know?

Kramer's Auntie Jodie at Everything Vintage is celebrating her birthday this month!
Kramer was so excited that he quickly spread the word!
He told Kasey first.
Then he told Lizzy.
(Poor Kramer, for some reason they don't seem to understand him. Everytime he opens his mouth to bark a 'meow' comes out!)
He got to work quickly as he planned on making something for his auntie Jodie.
But alas, his paws couldn't reach the pedal on the sewing machine.
So he contemplated what to do next.
He thought some more (the Kramer Crouch always helps him think better:).
He discussed it with Calvin but to no avail. He still was at a loss as to what to give his auntie Jodie for her birthday!
So his search began...
he searched...
and he searched...
and he searched.
Nothing.
Then he remembered eBay!
He found the perfect gift!
A beautiful vintage convertable Corvette!
He signed in to begin the bidding.
And then he waited...
and he waited...
and he waited.
Finally, he placed his bid...
and he walked away confidently.
But alas, he was outbid. He was soooo disappointed.
But then he had a brilliant idea!
He'd throw his auntie Jodie a surprise birthday post!
He checked to make sure that his auntie Jodie was nowhere to be seen.
Then he began to hide...
he's hiding,
still hiding.
The dogs scrambled to find a hiding spot!
Calvin, stop sticking your tongue out at the camera!
Kasey is hiding.
SURPRISE!
Well, the cat's out of the bag (in this case the sewing machine bag:)!
It's Jodie LeJeune's (aka Kramer's auntie Jodie) birthday month!
Happy Birthday month Jodie!!!

Lights, Camera, Action-The Secret Revealed!

For those of you who have followed my blog this past summer you may remember a post I did in July (Lights, Camera, Action) about filming that hubby and I participated in at Magnolia Plantation in Charleson, SC.
(Oh come now-you didn't think I'd just blurt it out at the beginning of the post-you have to wait until the end of the post to find out more:).
Hubby and I, aka, Mr. and Mrs. Underwood.
My dear friend (and dressmaker), Christine with 'Deena'.

'Simon' my son in the story.

Ok, so here it is.
This is the first video book written by author, Jude Devereaux, called 'Promises'.
It is a novella set on a plantation in SC in the early 1800's. This video book contains the complete novella and short videos of the storyline.
You can purchase 'Promises' at

I'll leave the candle burning for you!
