Worn Out!

Greetings to my blogland friends! I have missed you all this past week:).
We have just returned from a long visit with my mother at Sweetbrier Cottage
It was bitterly cold in Georgia where she lives so needless to say I was happy to return to warmer temps here in the Lowcountry.
Upon our return home yesterday I was greeted by sunny skies and blooms galore on our rose and camilla bushes.
Wouldn't it be nice to see them?
Yeah, I thought so too. I received this wonderful camera for Christmas from hubby which currently has pictures of these gorgeous blooms; however, I have yet to get the software loaded onto my computer so the picture of the camera with the pictures of the flowers on it's memory card is the best I can do for now (no, I don't know how to load new software onto the computer:).
I am not the most technologically adept person, get the picture-lol!
Anyway, as you can see Kramer is worn out from the trip...
as is Lizzy...
Calvin is tired but won't take a nap for fear he may miss something...
while Kasey sleeps on the bed.
Just a word to let you know that I love you all as you have given me much joy, inspiration, and friendship in the past year.
I look forward to the posts ahead in the coming year:)!

I leave you with some pictures of Kasey enjoying the Christmas Day plunder of toys:).
Kasey, you can't have all the toys, you have to share!
She seems to like the squirrel best.
Happy New Year from all of us at The Victorian Parlor!!!

It was a little chilly here, mostly in the 30's and 40's, but what a wonderful time we had! A house with three dogs, one caline (that's Kramer who has identity issues) and one feral cat, made the week quite entertaining.

Kim from the Victorian Parlor did a lot of cooking. She is phenomenal in the kitchen and has recently been inspired by her latest cookbook acquisition - a copy of a 1968 Life Cookbook that has the most wonderful recipes. The Julia Child movie has influenced her as well.

We definitely fulfilled the adage - eat, drink and be merry! Happy New Year!!!

Kim-

That looks like a sweet camera! Hope you can get the software figured out soon. You've given me an idea for an upcoming post... my flowers and rosebushes buried in snow! :)

It's so nice that you were able to spend the holiday with your mom. It's nice to be with family for Christmas. We had my entire family here for Christmas dinner (15 people) and all went swimmingly. The snow held off until late on December 25, and we had about 10" over the weekend!

Your party animals look exhausted! Thank you for all your inspirational posts and comments this past year, and have a fantastic 2010!

I was not too bad here at Christmas but the temp is going down into the 20's tonight and I wish it would snow. So nice you got to visit your mom though. Blessings

Oh Kim I just think you have the cutest hairy babies I've ever seen. You know you were one of the very first friends I made when I first started to blog and I am so thankful that we met and have much to share with each other. I can't wait to continue this frendship into a new year and I wish your family the best that 2010 has. I love your home and garden, you have created a special place for your family to enjoy.

Dear Kim,

I am so glad you all had a safe trip and are back home in the warmer low country. All the babies look worn out, indeed! I am so happy you got a new camera from your dear hubby.

Kramer, Lizzy, Calvin and Casey are all so adorable! Give them each a big hug from me, Pearl and Poppy! Casey is like Poppy and can enjoy more than one toy at a time!

Much love to you and your family! May the New Year be filled with God's blessings, joy and good health! I look forward to another year of visiting you at your lovely Victorian Parlor! I love you and am thankful for your friendship and all the inspiration you share.
