Pumpkin Patch Paradise!

If you haven't noticed, I love autumn!
Especially pumpkins!
One of our local churches hosts an annual pumpkin sale and I couldn't resist photographing it:).
Pumpkins fill baskets.
"Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see."
Linus, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
White pumpkins,
mottled pumpkins,
and classic orange pumpkins.
Here's a red pumpkin
(looks like a tomato and a pumpkin got together-would that make this a 'tumpkin'?)
"Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie."
-Jim Davis
"It's the GREEN pumpkin Charlie Brown!"
Pumpkins as far as the eye can see:).
I call this the 'peanut pumpkin' because it looks like a bunch of peanuts.
(hmmm...we got tomato pumpkins and now peanut pumpkins-there's some serious cross pollination going on in these pumpkin patches:).
Colorful pumpkins.
Ring around the pumpkins, pocket full of something, ashes, ashes, we all carve now!
Baskets of mini pumpkins.
"Oh, Great Pumpkin, where are you?
-Linus
"Have you come to sing pumpkin carols?"
-Linus
These are just 'gourd-ous'!
"I've learned there are three things you don't discuss with people: religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin."-Linus"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion."
-Henry David Thoreau

So here ends my pumpkin post.

You can find me in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin...

One of my most favorite things in the world, gorgeous pumpkins of all kinds. What a cheerful post, I love them all and yes I'll sing some pumpkin carols along... Can't wait for The Great Pumpkin to come to TV.
Happy day!

Love this post with the beautiful pictures. WOW! Fantastic.

I saw for the first time a peanut pumpkin. Not sure how I feel about this! So very unusual.

Interesting how the variety of pumpkins are getting more attention these days than just good ole orange ones.

Autumn blessings to you,
d

I've been away but pleased to find I'm back in time for your pumpkin post.
Our fascination must have something to do with childhood memories of Halloween.
Your niece looks lovely in all those southern gowns.

Oh, what beautiful shots of all the pumpkins! Such a pretty, sunny day. The pumpkins look so perfect. When we go to get our pumpkins, they're always dirty and dented!

I always loved watching Charlie Brown every year for Halloween. Thanks for reminding me how beautiful Fall can be!
