Favorite Verses

As we head into Holy Week I decided that I would focus my posts on the reason for our upcoming celebration, the Lord.
I think we all have a favorite Bible verse and I thought it might be fun to share them. My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13,
'I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.'
What is your favorite Bible verse?

one of mine is

John 3:16..

for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him
shall not perish but have everlasting life.

It seems like every year God leads me to something in his word to really hold on to. So my favorite verses kind of change with where I am, right now it's - "For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zec. 2:5

I am trusting that He is my protection and my glory and there with me in the midst of all life is right now.

Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

That's always a tough question for me. I'll just share two that are on my heart today.

Isaiah 43:10

You are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant who I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after me.

And

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

I love all the verses that everyone has shared. Many blessings this Palm Sunday.

Your favorite is one of mine too! I'm afraid I have too many favorites to count but one of them is 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new". What an amazing and beautiful promise, isn't it?

Lovely post. I'm so grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ and what he did for us in his death. He is my Savior.

Wonderful idea Kim. One of mine is Hebrews 13:1-2 Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Thank you for your comment on my last post. I love hearing from you.
Hugs, June

I have a hard time picking favorites of anything, but one verse comes to mind because I find it so comforting and full of hope.

Jude 1:24
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy...

There is a lot packed into that little passage, and it's one of the verses I hold onto.

Great post! ~Lori

Love all your vintage treasures, I love old things also, and I know I dream about the olden days, and wished I lived back then...but of course only if I were wealthy!...ha!
