Valentine's Poetry

"I think of thee at Eventide
When shines the star of Love-
When earth is garnished like a Bride,
And all is bright above-
I think of thee when orient day
Puts on its golden wings,
And mounts upon its bright'ning way,
in beauty like the spring."

Your choice of poem is beautiful.
It is very similar to the one I have on my sidebar.
The Victorians certainly knew how to express affection...

Gosh, this is a beautiful poem. I HEART the locket. What would it be like to live in Victorian times? Did you see the PBS series? It was pretty awesome, the ladies could not do without a few modern day necessities and cheated!

Happy Valentine's Day, Bonnie
