A beautiful, sunny, and very warm (ok, really hot) day led us on a stroll to enjoy the colorful blooms bursting forth from the many gardens that embellish the historic homes.
The water sparkles just beyond this flower garden.
Peeking through an old brick wall revealed the splendor of red and yellow blooms.

This garden just calls you to wander through it.
Blue skies provide a glorious backdrop to this flowering bush.
Pink flowers,
red flowers,
white and red flowers all abound.

Just what I needed tonight before I lay down to sleep. Now I'll dream in flowers.

Looks like you girls had fun strolling along...who wouldn't with all those beautiful flowers to see and smell?
Oh! and the ice cream! Yummy!
Thanks for taking me along,
everything vintage
Thank you Kim for taking us on such a lovely walk.
Those beautiful gardens and your own garden must be a sight to behold.

It's hard to believe that there is a place in the U.S. that is so warm and beautiful right now... it's still a little chilly in the Chicago area. The grass is nice and green now, but I have no flowers blooming yet... soon! Thanks for sharing your pictures!
Beautiful flowers! Your niece looks like a fun gal! :)
What a beautiful garden tour... such vibrant flowers. It's always nice to have someone to share your walk about with and it appears your niece was also enjoying the stroll as well as the ice cream.
Have a wonderful week.

That's so pretty. Time in a garden is well spent. Last year my sisters and I went on a garden tour at about 10 homes. I enjoyed myself so much. I want to do that again this year.
Beautiful! And so is your niece! I just love that shot of the water beyond the garden.
What a gorgeous post.
Such beauty.
Would like to follow this blog, but this ole girl doesn't know how to.

What a lovely stroll! Your "spring" is much further ahead than ours. My tulips just opened this week. Spring begins in May in Ontario. So happy it is finally May :) Karen
oh my, the pictures are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us.
I am visiting from Andrea's blog. I used to live in a large Queen Anne but the Lord now has us in a lovely cottage.
