Saturday Gathering

We were invited to dine with friends at their home this past Saturday night. What a treat to visit their lovely home and enjoy marsh views, good food, and fun:)
This recent addition to their house really caught hubby's attention! Of course the views of the marsh caught mine:)
Our friend built this outdoor set from PVC piping! Talk about the ultimate in recycling!
And then there were the views of the marsh (being that we can't afford to live on the water having friends who do is the next best thing:).

Sunset over the marsh.

Of course there was one more thing that made the evening special. Hubby really wanted a leather chair to go with the desk I gave him last week. We have looked online and in many of the thrift and consignment shops around town but nothing could be found (that we could afford that is). While at our friends' house the guys were in the garage where this chair was sitting. Hubby made a comment that he was looking for a chair just like it. As it turns out they were trying to get rid of the chair and so they gave it to us for FREE! We got it home and it fit perfectly in the space!
Friends are wonderful blessings:).
I will be posting tea tidbits throughout the rest of this week for this Saturday's blog tea party!

That was a wonderful find. I liked that view also. Can't beat dinner with friends. I am impressed with his recycled patio furniture.

Oh, I remember those lovely marsh views of the low country. A wonderous beauty of God's goodness.

I love the chair! And what a blessing! God had it perfectly planned for you. The way He cares for the details of our lives is so awesome.

Have a very blessed Monday!

Hi Kim,
I think gathering with friends is such a special time. Aren't you glad the guys went to the garage for their guy talk? Thank you for all the lovely messages you leave. Have a great day.

That's a wonderful chair.

I think of how I like to surprise my kid sometimes with a gift, so why am I surprised when God surprises me. After all He's an awesome parent and longs to give good gifts to His kids.

How neat is that, your friends making their patio furniture.

The chair is lovely and good that they were wanting to give it away.
Goes well with the new desk.

Have a great week

Sounds like you had lot of fun...I'm with you, that view is just amazing..That furniture your friends made is amazing..At least they don't have to worry about it rusting...I always get so mad when we spend all this money on patio furniture and it starts to rust in a years time....Anyway, Hope all is well...
