Bygone Era at Boone Hall Plantation

I am finally back after a week of battling strepp throat and preparing for the reenactment at Boone Hall this past weekend. I hope to visit everyone this week as I have missed all of my blogland buddies:).
And so the story begins here at Boone Hall Plantation.
The gardens surrounding the mainhouse are like those in a fairy tale. One can almost see the fairies flying about:).
Flowers are still blooming
(yes even in mid-November).

Trumpet flowers stretch forth...
while roses cascade in shades of pink...
and stand tall in creamy white.
Flowers of all colors and varieties spill over onto an ancient brick walkway.
Hmmm...who is this handsome gentleman?
Just outside of the gardens windows provide glimpses to the past.
Let's follow the path to where the weekend's story begins...
as a couple is transported to a bygone era.

Come back tomorrow to see where the story leads us:).

Hi Kim,

Sorry to hear that you have not been well. Do take it easy and I hope that you are feeling better.
I loved seeing your Boone Hall Plantation photos, the garden must be beautiful and yes, you can almost make out a little fairy flying about.

Happy week and take care.
Hugs
Carolyn

Oh Kim...this is so romantic and beautiful! I love how you are actually "living" this dream of yours and why not....the "real" world out there isn't very real to me at times, with all the negative things, but you bring us into your lovely world where things were more simple. Thank you and I hope you are feeling much better. Thank you for your visits...they mean a lot to me! Have a great day! Anita

May you get over that strep. It can cause such health issues if not cancelled out.

Glad to hear you're feeling better! For those of you who have never had the pleasure of speaking to Kim directly on the phone, please note: nothing stops Kim from talking on the phone!!! We had a wonderful half hour conversation last Friday, strep and all!

Love You,

Dad

Hi Kim,
I didn't know you were sick. I hope you are over that nasty strep. Not fun at all.
Boone Hall's gardens are amazing! I'm sure that I did see a faerie in one of your shots. Can't wait for more.
Hugs,
June

So sorry to hear about your throat. That can take the fire out of you in a hurry.

I've been to Boone Plantation and found it to be a step back in time, also. You know how much I loved that!

Hope you feel better soon!

What a beautiful place. Those pesky fairies always hide from the camera.

Strep throat - yuck - glad you are feeling better!

Love the pictures you posted especially your last post with that handsome devil Kramer! Congratulations on winning the goodies.

One of these weekends I will have to mosey over to a B&B. Your breakfast sounded diving.

Thanks for visiting with me, Bonnie
