Saturday Musings and Tea Party update

My dear friend Jodie at Everything Vintage (http://jodielejeune.blogspot.com/) has graciously helped me in my area of weakness-technology! Due to my techno impairments she created a most beautiful badge for the upcoming tea party which you can use on your blog to invite others to our tea party on June 6th:)
Thanks again Jodie!!!
Saturday was a busy, fun filled day that started early in the morning with yard saling. One of our local consignment shops had a yard sale with lots of great stuff! I found these linens with beautiful embroidery.
A vintage Seth Thomas clock, copper pitcher, and a silver cigar box.
This lovely pewter tray and pewter teapot also said 'take me home.'
This large lidded basket with tin insert will be perfect on the front porch to hold birdseed. It might get a coat of white paint first:).
The day didn't end with the yard sale. After that I helped a friend hang some pictures in her house and then I was off to work at the shop. Stop by tomorrow to see the beautiful island where we spent time with friends Saturday evening.
Don't forget to go by Jodie's blogspot for the lovely tea party badge!

Love all your finds...I had the same sort of weekend, I just love treasure hunting? I was just following up on the comments on Natasha Burns blog about embarrassing moments and you had me laughing myself silly! My co-workers must think I'm nuts laughing hysterical in my cubicle all alone, oh well, can't think of a better way to start off my Monday.

I also had an embarrassing moment at McDonalds, I was with my two nieces and you know those trash cans that have that thing on top to make easier to toss your trash in from your car? Well, it was right before the ordering speaker and I mis-took it for the speaker. The guy kept saying that he couldn't hear me and I was starting to get angry and it didn't help that my nieces were laughing hysterically, it was then that I realized I was giving my order to a trash can.

How do you have room for all the great things you find???

I think maybe Karyn was talking about the embarrassing moments that I posted on Natasha's blog (since she mentioned McDonald's). Her moment is pretty funny too!

I'll make sure I go see Jodie and grab a badge! ~Lori

Hi Kim,
Great finds. I love it all, but that cigar box is not like anyone I've seen. Lovely!

Hi Kim! The badge your friend made for your tea party is so pretty!

I think I mentioned in the previous post that I wanted to do the teaparty and I would still LOVE to, however, I have overextended myself tatting-wise right now. I have previously committed to some projects that I need to get tatted up NOW so I won't get my tatting for this done in time. I will be coming around to visit, for sure, though!

Your new goodies are lovely! :)

How blessed you were to find these beautiful items! I especially love the linens and the clock!

I am inspired each time I visit you. You are a special friend.

Take care. I look forward to the coming pictures.

Blessings,

Andrea

What lovely finds! You made out quite well! It has been harder to find vintage wares in the last several years here. But BRAVO! You will be all set for your tea party with that lovely pewter pot! Thanks for coming by to listen to Pink Martini! Have a beautiful day, Anita
