Blog Tea Party!

Guess what time it is?
Kramer says it's Tea Party time!

Welcome to The Victorian Parlor Blog Tea Party!

Being that I have about 20 guests arriving for the Bathtub Tea Party (don't ask-it's a long story) in just a few hours I am posting my pre-tea party pictures now. I will post more tea party pics later after my guests have left.

Please be sure to visit all of the wonderful blogs listed on this post as they are co-hostesses with me today for this event!

I began yesterday with food prep (Lizzy is waiting for crumbs to fall-she is a huge help as she keeps the floor clean:).
What a mess!
This is the other side of the kitchen with more supplies (yes the wine is a supply-it helps with the food prep:).

This morning I began setting up so I could photograph for the blog tea party. Kramer is such a big help-he is inspecting to make sure everything is in it's place.
Of course, then he decided that it was more fun to eat the flower arrangements and charge off of the table tops sending linens flying everywhere. I kept chasing him away so he decided to hide.
All of that playing messed up his fur so Calvin (our resident pet hairdresser) gave him a grooming.
In the meantime I was setting up tables for food later in the day.
Serving dishes await cookies.
In a little while these dishes will be filled with sweets and savories:).
Kasey looks out for arriving guests.
Calvin just looks cute:).
Kasey takes a break and Lizzy keeps a look out.
Living room set-up. Hmmm...noticed that no one has seen Kramer for a while? That's because I had to lock him in the bedroom because he kept making a mess (don't worry auntie Jodie-he's happily curled up napping on his bed:).
Kitchen set-up. I decided to do a blue and white theme in the kitchen.
The library has a rose theme.

Here is the menu for today's tea party:

Vanilla Cranberry Scones
Dairy Free Vanilla Blueberry Scones
Strawberry Preserves
Cucumber sandwiches
Salmon Spread on Rye sandwiches
Olive Spread with crackers
Cheese with crackers
Stuffed Strawberries
Fresh Strawberries, Pineapple, and Green Grapes
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Assorted Tea Cookies
Baby Kosher pickles
Mixed nuts

Teas:
Vanilla Rose
Terra Cottage House Blend (Vanilla, Apricot, Mango)

I am so looking forward to visiting everybody's tea party later today!
Happy Blog Tea Party and thanks to all who are participating and visiting!

I knew that I would not have time to be a part of your tea party today, but I had it marked in big red letters on the calendar so that I would be sure to drop by and see what you had. I love love love that you have a different theme in each room, the roses being my favorite in the library! If I was a real guest there in your home today you would definitely have to seat me there!! As for Kramer, I know that he got into trouble, but I had to chuckle over here at the picture of him and the pups running up and down and causing havoc, sending the linens flying every which way! Makes me think back to when we had a dog and 5 cats, and things like that happened all the time, right down to the dog eating the entire peach cake that I had just made and set on the table to cool! Imagine my horror when I wanted to set up the party only to find the cake gone. I thought someone was playing a bad trick on me, when I looked down at the dog who fell asleep under the table and his tummy was about as round as a bowling ball! Culprit found!! :-) Your menu for toda is beyond mouth watering, such lucky guests!! I will skip on over to the others on the list. It is such a fantastic idea. Enjoy the day Kim!!! And altho I am not there, I will be thinking of you all day long while I sit here and sip a cup of strawberry tea for the occasion!! hugs from afar, Debby

Dearest Kim,
Your table is STUNNING!!!
I loved visiting with your blog today and learned so much. Will check back later for more pics.
What a fantastic menu and such fun with different themes in the different rooms...

Thank you for coming by and visiting my blog and having tea! You were such a sweetie to partake in teabags instead of tea leaves.
Thank you for understanding the mess around a house being remodeled.

Appreciate your friendship and look forward to visiting with you more often as the summer months pass by and onto the fall.

Hi Kim,

What a wonderful Tea Party ~ thank you for inviting me to your home.
Everything is perfect ~ love your beautiful China.
You menu sounds wonderful and what a lot of work.

I laughed at dear Kramer having to be shut in the bedroom.
Calvin is a delightful little dog and loved the photo of him.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for organizing this fun time.

Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Kim:
Everything looks so lovely -- you really out did yourself, thanks for sharing of your friends and beautiful things. Going to try the Dairy Free Scones (Blueberry Vanilla) when I get some time. I am a bit late, but finally got my Tea Party pics posted today. My party, though mostly virtual -- was still lots of fun! -- and great therapy...(rough weekend). Looking forward to our next gathering.
Blessings,
Rosalind

It looked absolutely beautiful and delicious!

Please forgive me, but due to time in the garden and my husband being out of town, I could not participate, but I think I could remedy that by sharing some tea party pictures I have done previously.

Thank you for hosting, everyone looked like they had a marvelous time!
