Thrifting Finds!

Last Saturday's thrifting trip was full of lovely finds! While my niece shopped for clothing I hunted the shelves for other trinkets:).
It started out as something of a pink Saturday as most of the items I discovered were pink. I have gotten 'hooked' on crocheted throws which seem to crop up in abundance at our thrift shops. This one is so pretty in it's shades of pink. The enbroidered linens and crocheted pieces were $2.
I couldn't resist the small porcelain creamers and sugar bowl. The sugar bowl is missing it's lid but will still look lovely filled with sugar cubes at my next tea:). The tin watering pitcher is new (still had the original tag on it) and will grace my desk at work.

This lamp was the bargain of the day! The egret is beautiful:). For a mere $5.75 it was a 'no brainer'!
I have a teddy bear collection and this little lady called out from the shelves to take her home...so I did:). The small box bedecked with cherubs will help to organize my craft supplies.
Now tell me, with a face like that how could anyone have said no!
A few weeks ago I found this lovely silver gravy boat for $2 at a thrift store. I like the curves and intricate feet (kinda reminds me of a slipper tub:).
It is currently gracing the dining room table vignette.
I have a weakness for these etched silver pieces from the turn-of-the-century. Many were made by Meridan and Van Burgh silver companies.
These lovely pieces and the silver based crystal compote were found at a yard sale a few weeks ago.
Thanks for sharing in my thrift store treasure hunting!
Have you found any treasures lately?

Loved the lamp of course (you know me and lamps).

How wonderful it is, though, to go shopping and find such great treasures and spend little money, but more importantly enjoy the day with your niece. Life's precious moments!

Dear Kim,

What wonderful treasures you have found! Thank you so much for sharing these pretties!!! I love the beautiful creamers and the sweet sugar bowls. I can never resist creamers and sugar bowls, even ones without the lids. As you said, they can still be used and they need a home, too, don't they? I love the watering pitcher with the pretty roses and the linens and crochet pieces. The throw is wonderful as well.

I love the lamp! The price was fantastic. Oh, I could not have said no to that sweet Teddy Bear face!!! The little box with the cherubs is so beautiful. I love the idea of using it for supplies.... beauty and utility! The etched silver is gorgeous, what a find those are! The crystal compote is gorgeous, too. I love the silver on it. I also love the gravy boat. It looks so pretty with the flowers in it. I have seen one in a photo like that before, with little soaps in it for the bathroom.

I enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful treasures, Kim. I hope to find some things when we go into town this weekend!

Blessings to you dear friend!
Love, Paula
