It's in the details

Have you ever taken the time to look past the big picture and focus on the details?

The gentle dangle of glass beads,

scrolling metal,
finely carved corners,
intricately stitched needlepoint,
scalloped edges,
chipping veneer and tiny turned corners,

the curve of the arm,

carved wood and velvet,
the delicate leg on a vintage sofa.

The details may make up the bigger picture but the bigger beauty is made up of the finer details.

Oh yes, always focus on the details - I love the corners and edges of old and beautiful things, carved frames, worn chipped legs, selvedges on old velvet (looking for some to cover those darned chairs!!), real aged glass crystals (none of those new-fangled plastic dangles!)and more.

Lovely comment you left today - as always - I thank you so much for always being so generous.

Warm hugs - Mary.
