Victorian Beauties Tour-Part II

Good morning and welcome to Part II of our Victorian Beauties tour.
Today we will stroll down a street lined with Victorian homes.
Most of the homes on this street date to the late 19th century.

Almost all boast lovely turrets...

and some sparkle with colorful stained glass doors.

Couldn't resist taking a photo of the kiddie parking lot:).

*******
Now comes the fun part:).
Two wonderful couples were kind enough to let me tour their homes (I am friends with one couple already and happened upon them having coffee when I was photographing:).
They have done a marvelous job in the restoration of their amazing Victorian.

Original door ringer and mail drop.

The pictures (above and below) are a gorgeous mural painted on the bathroom wall.

After touring this beautiful Victorian my friend surprised me with the news that her neighbor (who lives in my favorite house) was going to let me tour their home too!
I was beyond excited!!!

So here is my very favorite Victorian home downtown! I cannot afford to live in it but I do plan on haunting it someday:).

View from the swing on the front porch (yup, got to sit in the swing on the porch of my favorite house-I was loving it!!!)

Another view from the swing (ahhh...this is the life-tea please:).

The interior woodwork was beautiful!

The rest of the house was as amazing as the pictures but alas my carriage (or should I say pumpkin) awaited and it was time to come back down from my Victorian cloud.
Of course, I thanked my new friend graciously and then offered to be the house sitter and house keeper:).
Hey, I need to know my way around this place since I am going to haunt it someday-lol:).
Thanks again for joining me-it's always more fun with friends along!

Hi Kim,
You know how much I love your tours, right? I love it when you take us around to see these grand beauties. I love the pink ones in the last post. After seeing how bad the Junie bird nest looked on the outside, I've been thinking of painting it and I think it would be cute pink.
Have I told you how much I love your tours?
Smiles,
June

Super wonderful old beauties!

I like all the bowed out or bay windows in those homes.

The mural is fantastic!

Oh this is a fantastic (but funny) thought...

Your little Victorian ghostly figure floating around this huge beautiful home...
The smell of tea in the air and the swing is swaying even though there is no breeze...

Would that really be considered a haunting after all or could we just call it heaven????

Thank you so much Kim for taking us on more of a tour of your magnificent City.
I loved the home and how neat that they invited you in to have a look.
The wood paneling and the ornate plaster (or maybe tin? ) ceiling is beautiful.

Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Kim,

Thanks so much for the lovely tour part I and II -- JUST BEAUTIFUL! My first time touring with you, but looking forward to the next time... hmm... The Spanish Moss says you must the tour is somewhere in the South like Georgia or South Carolina? The Moss is one of the things I love about Savannah and Charleston, just adds to the charm ...Kept looking for the name of your city, but did not see it.

Anyway, whatever the case, it is wonderful to live in a historic area, and meeting new friends who appreciate the quality and history too...

blessings,
Rosalind
