Victorian Beauties Tour-Part One!

Welcome to what will no doubt be one of my favorite tours-the Victorian tour!
Our town is best known for it's Antebellum architecture thus our Victorian beauties tend to be overlooked. Many people are unaware that so much Victoriana is present in our town.
Due to the overwhelming amount of pictures this post will be done in several segments.
Let's not waste any more time-let's stroll!
This late 19th century structure is probably the most well known of our Victorian beauties and is currently operating as a B&B.

*******
The following pictures are close-ups of some of the Victorian details of several homes throughout our historic district.

*******
This little beauty is on the market...hmmm...tempting but no:).
She has great architectural details!

This one is also on the market but way out of our price range!

Another of our pink Victorian beauties also operating as a B&B.

Come back tomorrow for more of the Victorian Beauties stroll.
I was blessed with a wonderful surprise from two very gracious ladies-I got to go inside of a couple of homes!
I will be posting those pictures soon:).

You are right about the churches in Louisville. All over these three counties, Nelson, Marion and Washington is called the Holy Land of the New World. HH and I visited a development near Clearwatar Beach, Florida with all Victorian Homes, I cannot remember the name. I took videos and I don't have any pictures to show. It was unbelievable. All different colors. I saw it featured in one of the woman's magazines at one time. I love them too. Didn't realize how much I love Vintage until I started to blog.

oooh so pretty!

Did you see the little table & chairs on the small balcony up there? And the details of the window molding and the trim of the siding...aaaahhh to die for!

Let me guess how you "got in" for those private tours:

1. You were pulled in because they thought you were a peep and tom and wanted to confiscate your camera?
No?

2. How about you pretended to faint because of the heat on the front porch?
No? Strike two?
hmmmm.

3. You knocked on the front door and said you were with HGTV and wanted to showcase their home in an upcoming series?
What? strike 3? no way! ;)

Whatever you did...lucky you!!!!!

And this is part one? Can't wait to see more of Kim's Victorian Beauties Series, right here on Blogger!!!!!
